Podiatry & Chiropody
Podiatry (also known as Chiropody) is a specialised, registered and regulated health profession, concerned with the clinical diagnosis, treatment and management of a wide range of conditions affecting the human foot and lower limb.In the UK, it is thought that 90% of us will suffer from a foot problem at some point in our lives and many put up with foot pain believing it to be normal. Since mobility is an important part of your overall quality of life, maintaining foot comfort is a must. A regular 6-12 weekly visit to a podiatrist for general chiropody care is the best way to ensure your feet stay in tip top condition.
Routine Nail Care
As part of the service we can tidy and cut your nails making them feel great.
Thickened nails can occur through repetitive and immediate trauma, the nail thickens up at the nail matrix often becoming unsightly and uncomfortable.
We can reduce the thickened toe nail using our spray drill that gently reduces the thickness of the nail.
Ingrown Toenails & Nail Surgery
Ingrown toe nails can cause extreme discomfort. A simple procedure is required to ease the pain and discomfort. Nail surgery is also available should the problem persist.
Hard Skin & Corns
Corns and calluses are thickenings of skin on the feet that can become painful, which are caused by excessive pressure or friction on the skin.
We can remove corns and hard skin and give advice on how to prevent or slow down reoccurrences.
Dry Skin & Cracked Heels
Heels can be prone to dryness which if untreated can lead to cracks and become painful. We can remove the dry skin and re-hydrate it with a soothing massage using specialist creams.
Insoles & Orthotics
We can supply Insoles and Orthotics if needed.
